A Fairytale Moment
Every piece of this kit made it feel like I was building a scene from a storybook. The roses, the soft moonlight, and those delicate little windows are absolutely dreamy. The built-in light and music box were my favorite touch. It took me around 5 hours, and it was worth it.

Beautiful Details, Easy Build
I’ve put together other book nooks, but this one has a unique charm. The Beast’s outline, the cozy lighting, and the petals in the air are gorgeous. Everything fit well, and the directions were straightforward. It instantly became the most eye-catching piece on my shelf.

My New Favorite Book Nook
I’ve completed plenty of book nooks, and this one is easily the most charming. The Beast silhouette, gentle lighting, and floating petals create such a gorgeous scene. All the parts fit nicely, and the instructions were straightforward. It instantly turned into the highlight of my display.

This book nook is beyond exceptional. I have been a miniaturist for over 10 years. I have built a lot of doll house kits as well as made my own from scratch. I decided to build a book nook kit for my grandson for his birthday. At the same time I built the MiniCity Library, I worked on a Rolfe Time Travel Kit and Marycele Secret Castle Kit. After working on all three within the same week, hands down MINI CITY IS A FAR SUPERIOR PRODUCT. The pieces are quality MDF. They pop out easily, need minimal sanding if any and all printed images are clear and in line with the pieces. The book covers are stickers with readable images and font. The books are precut wood and easy to assemble. The other thing I liked about this book nook is the pieces often lock together which creates support. One of the first steps s the lights which are already connected and ready to go, you just need batteries. I appreciated this, since I have built a book nook, only to struggle with lights at the end
This is the third book nook I’ve built and it was fantastic. It took me about 10 hours in total to build. I really enjoyed it and I love the unique design and the quality of the pieces is really good. I also appreciate that it came with all the tools you will need to put everything together, including tweezers. The instructions are easy to read and understand and the images do a good job showing you what needs to be done as well. Something that really stood out to me about this kit when compared to others is that as you build each section, the instructions provide you an overview of the section you are starting on, showing you what it’s going to look like and how it connects to the section you just finished. I think this is really helpful and I wish more kits did this because it can save you from making mistakes if you understand how everything is coming together as you are building it, rather than after you’ve completed 75% of it. One of my gripes is that there has to be a better way to secure the lights in place than what they tell you to do. You essentially secure them in place with these clear stickers but I feel like there should’ve been a better way to do that. The big globe needs a better way to be secured as well. The instructions tell you to just place it in its base but I did add the smallest drops of glue in a few parts to hopefully secure it better. I feel like this is important because the globe is heavy (it’s high quality) so if you were to knock this in a way that caused the globe to fall, it would crush other more fragile pieces on its way down due to its weight. I was also a bit disappointed that so many of the shelves just have images of a row/stack of books rather than actual individual books for you to place. And the shelves in which you do place individual books are mostly hidden in the back corners, making them harder to see. If anything I think it should’ve been reversed, with the back corner shelves having the images of books and the ones closer to the front having the individually placed books.
This kit is similar to others that I’ve had. The instructions are clear to me, the quality doesn’t feel cheap and I love putting these together. The details are pretty good and it’s the perfect size to fit in my bookshelf. I’m still working on putting this together, they take me quite a while to finish!
This was my very first miniature set I’d ever done so it was a learning curve. The instructions were straight forward. I didn’t like that some of the pieces were pretty fragile, broke, in which I did end up having to super glue them back before I could continue. I think this would be good for older kids as it’s delicate work. I was happy with the finished product overall. The light works well and it’s easy to change the battery out. It was a very satisfying build that holds up well after finished.
Absolutely love this , took me about 3 days to do and super easy just be careful with the stairs ! They break real easy!
This kit went together flawlessly. Accurate instructions and very easy to follow graphics. It is going to be an amazing Christmas gift! The pieces were all perfectly cut too!
Easy to assemble and excellent quality for the price. My new hobby! Instructions were easy to follow.
This was my first book nook and I really liked how it turned out. I got more detailed as I progressed including filing down the wood burrs from punching out the sections. I also used wood markers to color the areas sanded so they blended right in. Good instructions. The only tedious part was making all the books. I ordered another kit from this manufacturer as it is a quality product. Hint: Follow the excellent instructions and look ahead a few steps before completing the current step.Update - Completed a second book nook and it was also excellent. The first was the Beyond Library and the second was the Saisons Cafe. A little more glueing on this one but it also turned out great. Love these kits!!
Quality is great! Much better than expected. The globe is glass! Instructions are easy to follow, for me, and the instructions have helpful tips to keep from making mistakes. I’m approximately 60% to completion and love this book book enough to give a review before I’ve completed the build. There are small pieces that could pose challenges for large hands. I’m a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast - given that, I’d say this is a moderate to advanced build, but SUPER fun!
I have done other miniature projects before this particular book nook, this looked different to me, so I decided I wanted to try it. I am very pleased! The pieces were all there, with a few extra pieces left over. The instruction manual is very well written and super simple to follow! It has places of zoom in so you can really see how it should fit. It also shows before and after so you can double check yourself. This one is much prettier in person than the photos show! It’s a really neat addition to my bookshelf!! The lighting mechanics for it were really simple to follow as well, I didn’t need anyone to help me with that. Once you assemble the bottom and sides, it doesn’t shut completely until you add the top pieces, but I think that goes without saying. Once you add the top, it is extremely sturdy and fits snugly together. It comes with glue, tweezers, and all you need. My kit wasn’t missing anything. The only suggestion I would make is consider having an exacto knife handy as the clear plastic pieces (for the stairs) are in their casing a little more snug. It wasn’t as easy to punch out like the wooden pieces. But, I just used an exacto knife to cut the pieces out as needed. It is simple, it is fun, it is really pretty from start to finish! I highly recommend this product!!
Took my 14y/o 5 hours to build. She enjoyed every minute!Very well made, the instructions are clear, they give extra for important breakable pieces like the skeleton, and more books than what actually required. The lights are beautiful. Definitely worth it and will probably get more (this is her 3rd one!)
This was so fun to build. I completed it in one day. The instructions and pictures were detailed. The pieces were sturdy. The wiring was already taped together.
I got the beyond library and this was fun and the end result is so cool. I have ADHD and this really helped me calm down and take things slowly. Don’t rush through it, it doesn’t need to be finished in one day. It’s miniature so yes it will be fragile, but that’s what made me slow down and just make sure everything came out perfect. There’s extra pieces so I might do more things different
I will definitely buy this brand again. This was easy enough to build for a first timer, I've never built any miniature but found this engaging and easy enough without feeling too simple. The quality of the board pieces seems very good, they are sturdy. Even breaking the tabs on a few didn't make a difference in the outcome. If you do end up breaking off a tab on one of the little pieces, like I did, just use a bit of glue and hold the piece in place for a few minutes and it will turn out fine.Like others said, there are A-LOT of books to make, but I didn't mind. They really add to the beauty of this little library. The lights and the glass cover really add the perfect touch to this book nook. They make it easy to see the details and will keep it dust free.
Beautiful design and engineering! Everything goes together perfectly, just take your time, and pay close attention to the instruction details. I'm already looking for another Nookfan to build!
I didnt realize how ambitious my choice was as a 1st BN, but omg this was so frustrating at first. I received and requested a replacement from Nookfan kit bc one if the pieces I needed came broken. The second go round was easier but no less tedious, especially all of the books you have to put stickers on. This piece was done over a few weeks due to my initial frustration. The instructions were ok, though I still had to seek out a YT video( shout out to Coop Creations)and Reddit for those awful stair railings( you will have to pull off the initial film, and both sides for each piece. I also missed the last one bc I just wanted to be done by that point)😅 Super glue is your best friend, the glue it came with tends to leave long thin threads after each use so be careful you don't get it on your skin and change clothing. All in all the kit was a 4 the building experience was a 3, I now know my mistakes. Lol Oh, also when snapping pieces into place use small but firm movements or you WILL break them. Best of Luck!
