Beyond Library Max - DIY Book Nook Kit

So far it's been a wonderful build. Still working on it as time allows. Covering all the tiles for the books is playing havoc with the arthritis in my hands. Still enjoy the challenge though.

This was the second kit I ever did and now having completed about 20 other nooks, I decided to do it again. Much better this time around.This is a great kit and beautiful to look at. I file and paint all edges so I'm really slow at getting these done but I think it's worth it. I don't have any complaints. The instructions are good. Just take your time. I made my own pillows for the couch and added some plants. I did have one almost disaster that was my fault. I screwed up the ladder right in the very front! Tried to cover the substantial breaks with file and paint but it looked horrible. I covered up with a fake vine and blossoms and it looks pretty darn good.I donate my finished kits to a non-profit arts foundation in my town. It is great that others love these creations as much as I do and it helps our community.This is well worth your time!

Great quality and everything fits perfectly. Very clear instructions. I’m halfway through and very much enjoying the build!

One of the more fun kits have built, the instructions are great and the quality of the words is awesome. Had a great time building it and love the way it looks. One of my favorite builds out of over 30 kits I've done 👍✅

AMAZING little book nook set! I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and he has been busily working on it ever since! The details are incredible…you can even read the titles of the over 200 miniature books! Time consuming for sure, and if you don’t love hunching over minuscule pieces with a tweezer, some glue, and a magnifying glass, this might not be for you, but it’s a winner in our household!

This was my birthday gift from my kids! This was my 4th book nook type build. It was pretty difficult but absolutely worth it! There’s also enough space to include personal touches which is fun. Highly recommend gluing everything together as you go.

This has been my favorite kit so far. I liked it so much that I bought the smaller version and I'm working on it now. I have 3 kits from this brand and they all include a mini tube of B-700 glue, tweezers, and a little mallet. The parts were easy to pop out and they include extras for some of the smallest pieces. The instruction book was excellent and the translucent ceiling looks great. I especially enjoyed discovering the different book covers which included a bunch of Hemingway and Lord of the Rings, and also Harry Potter, Steinbeck, and my fave, "The Corporate Detox" lol. The only note I have is that the parts had a plasticky smell at first but it went away after.

This was by far the most fun and cathartic project I have done in a while. I do a lot of jigsaw puzzles and painting with diamonds but wanted something different and I am SO GLAD I tried this.

I completed this in 3 days as a complete beginner so I would definitely say it’s beginner friendly. The instructions are very clear and the pieces line up and fit nicely into place so there weren’t too many frustrating parts. The worst part for me was part 2 (the right wall) where the parts were kind of loose and the stairs kept falling apart on me so I just ended up gluing things into place that should have snapped into place. But it honestly was a small frustration.

The book covers had a good array of genres which I loved and the decorations are just too cute! I would say…if you are heavy handed like me, just be careful. There are duplicates of only some easily breakable pieces so I did end up gluing together a few rods that I accidentally snapped into half lol

Lastly, the lights work great and it really helps bring the whole scene together. I will definitely be purchasing another one soon!

So cool and a fun build. This is my 12th book nook style build, even though this one is a bit different compared to standard vertical book nooks. Visually, I expected the build to be more difficult so I wouldn’t say it requires too much experience. Definitely not beginner based on number of pieces and intricacy, but I think if you’ve done 2 or 3 before you’ll be fine.

Assembly was pretty straight forward and did not require a lot of gluing which was nice. Instructions were also clear, I had no trouble understanding. No missing parts, actually a few extras. 20 hours to build was mentioned, but this took me about 12 hours spanned in two sessions. Not bad for the final result!!

I would suggest differentiating the wires (which length goes to which color) BEFORE getting to the final step of using them. They are very easy to tell which is which if you hold them straight and write down which color is largest to smallest, you don’t need to actually measure if you do it before installation begins. Once installing, it would’ve been more difficult. Wire installation is at the end except the beginning wire and it is WAY easier than any book nook I’ve ever done.

⭐️ I attached an image of the wire lengths and matching colors, so hope that helps in building (assuming everyone receives the same wires and colors). ⭐️

Had no problems with durability. They give you two dinosaur bodies, it is easily the most fragile, and really only fragile portion of the build. I broke both lol. Nothing a small amount of hot glue couldn’t fix, I don’t think you can even tell. But I do appreciate that they give extras for delicate parts.

Once it came time to start building books (you wrap a sticker around a wooden rectangle) it is super easy but you need A LOT. I took 30 minutes then and there to build almost all of them which saved a lot of time rather than returning to build books every other step.

SUPER RECOMMEND. I’ve done easy and complicated ones before, and this is by far the coolest.

Such a cool library

This is probably one of my favorite book books I have done! The assembly manual was easy to follow and the end product looks great.The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because there are parts that aren’t fully cut out so I had to cut out pieces. It ended up ruining some of the pieces or made it so they do not fit properly. (See photos for examples) While I love lithe finished product, I wish it didn’t have those flaws.

I loved every part of it! Clear instructions, quite easy to build and very entertaining.

I love putting these together. The step by step instructions make it so easy, and I’m someone that if I miss a step and get frustrated, I’ll quit and throw the thing away. This came out beautifully

I received this kit for Christmas. This is by far my favorite miniature I've assembled thus far. I took my time working on it, I completed it approximately in 2 months. The attention to detail on this kit is 10/10. The finished product is so beautiful. Instructions were easy to follow.

I got this for my daughter and she loved it. It was her first book nook/ miniature so it took her a good amount of time but it was less difficult and more about being patient and taking time. Its pretty cool!

But this as a gift for my boyfriend. He absolutely loved putting it together. It's a lot easier than other book nooks I've bought him, but still has a certain level of difficulty to it. The finished product has amazed everyone who has come to our home and seen it. It is a beautiful piece. The materials used are good quality. And you don't HAVE to put stuff exactly as seen in the picture, so you can get creative. I highly recommend this book nook.
