Painter's Day at Dusk DIY Book Nook Kit

I am a fan of Nookfan’s book nooks. They are well-designed with quality components including laser cut wood boards useful tools, glue, lights, accessories, and solid instructions. This kit also includes a dust shield.The art deco theme is almost eclipsed by the pile of details in this design. It shows an artist’s loft and main roon with paint brushes, canvases, and paint splattered all around. I enjoy the formality of the sweeping curves of the furniture and staircase along with the messiness from the paint.I found this medium difficulty to complete. I sand and paint all the edges of the pieces bc I don’t like all the brown edges that darken these nooks. I also paint out the connection spots along the edges and the mismatched tenons on the furniture, which kills the illusion of the scene. It takes longer this way but I am more satisfied with the result.I recommend this kit without reservation.

Glue everything. I colored the unpainted sides of a lot of the pieces with a brown or black sharpie. The wood filigree is beautiful. The glue is great. Tweezers are included. This is my second book nook but it seemed labor intensive because of the many pieces that had to be assembled and glued. The chandelier was broken but I was able to glue it back. One complaint--I think the pieces should have been printed on both sides. I've already ordered another.

I had a lot of fun putting this together! It was the perfect activity to do while staying warm inside on a freezing winter day! The level of detail is incredible. Plus, it comes with glue, which is always an added bonus. I ended up using all of it. Another great addition was the tweezers, as most kits don’t come with those. They were extremely helpful for putting the details in place. The only thing I found tricky was the lighting; I had a hard time getting everything positioned just right. The “tape” they provided for holding the wires on the pieces was handy, but I don’t feel as though there was enough of it provided, and I ended up having to use a few pieces of regular tape. I also think they missed a chance to make the chandelier light up. All in all, I spent around 10 hours on this. I recommend it for any book nook addict!

I’ve done a few book nook and this is hands down the best brand! Directions were easy to follow, wood cut outs were thick and easy to remove, and comes with good quality glue (trust me, that matters). Will 100% buy another from this seller. The directions say aa batteries, but it actually takes aaa.

It's kinda of hard to see what you are reviewing as some listings have multiple kits attached to them. This is for the Painters Day at Dusk. It is very high quaility kit, nothing broke taking parts out. Only one item broke and it was my fault after it had been installed. I was veriy impressed the quaility of the wood and the coloring and the fit. I had just completed a kit that was very poor quaility, several wook sheets were extremely thin and and my small items broke. There are small items in this and they popped out perfectly.It is not terribly hard, could be a first kit I think though it is cluttered. Between the chair, table easel and bird perch there is not much room on the main floor. The easel is a little much I think, doesn't need to be that big.Highly recommend this one, I wasn't sure at first but once I started it appreciated the design and aesthetics. Can't go wrong with this one.

It looks beautiful but the lights aren't working, but they sent me new lights and Im happy...The puzzle is beautiful and fun to make!

A really cool stuff from start to finish, quality is great and all the parts fit together securely without wobbling. It almost takes me a week cuz I only took hour each day at a time. That glass ball is so beautiful when I turned light on, smart design

I love all the tiny details and the art nouveau style. The instructions were a bit vague at times but for the most part it is easy to figure out. The hardest part was to keep the thin wood from breaking when punching the pieces out

This came just as advertised. The quality exceeded my expectations! It was so much fun to put together. Took about 10 hrs.

I'm officially hooked. I was so excited to try this product, and it did NOT disappoint. I actually unboxed and started assembling on a Facebook Live (also shared on YouTube), and I am so impressed with the quality! Once you get the hang of the instructions (which are incredibly detailed), it is as easy as putting a puzzle together, and the end result is just beautiful. I now want one for every room. I started The Duchess' Cloakroom today. Highly recommend this product for buying or gifting.

If you love miniatures, this is a great piece to put together. It is fairly easy and the product is very well made. It I a complet kit that includes glue, tweezers and a sandpaper file. Wait for my next project.

I would have given this kit 5 stars had it been made of wood. I really enjoyed assembling this kit and adding items to it. I made changes that seemed logical to me to make things look less cluttered, such as putting the chair upstairs and modifying the bird stand into a stool to make more room.

I have made a lot of book books. This one was easy and fun. The directions were easy to follow and clear. I loved the fact that doing the wiring for the lights was really easy. Other book books never have enough wire and the directions are not clear. This one, I had plenary of wire and it was easy. I was able to put the on/off switch where it belonged. If you are thinking about buying this, you should. You will have fun and end up with a beautiful piece to put on your bookshelf.
